Community guidelines

EventX is for bringing people together. These rules keep it welcoming. Last updated October 20, 2026.

Be honest

  • Describe your event as it is: place, time, price and what's included.
  • Don't sell tickets to an event that doesn't exist or that you don't have the right to run.
  • Don't pretend to be another person or organisation.

Be respectful

  • No hate, harassment or threats, including against anyone for who they are.
  • No spam: only invite people you know, and don't post the same event over and over.
  • Only post photos of people who are fine with it.

Keep people safe

  • No illegal events. Events with alcohol or cannabis must follow your province's legal age.
  • Tell guests what they need to know to take part safely, such as accessibility or age requirements.
  • Use guests' information only for your event.

Report a problem

When you're signed in, use the Report button on an event, profile, community or photo. The person reported is never told who reported them. You can follow your reports in Settings.

What happens next

Our team reviews reports and may hide an event from Discover, cancel or remove it, remove a photo, or suspend an account. We email the person whose event, photo or account was affected what was done and why, and how to ask us to look again.

These guidelines summarise our terms of service, which remain the binding text.
